Concerns Regarding Michael O. Sigler, Live Well Pharmaceuticals, and Age Management Panama - Update 2014-02-12

A few weeks ago, I received a citation ticket from the state, requesting that I present myself to testify as a witness for their investigation (image below).

My attorney informed me that he had presented himself on February 10, and confirmed that the case will indeed proceed. He also informed me that Mr. Sigler’s lawyer presented himself just days before, and issued a statement on Mr. Sigler’s behalf, which stated that Mr. Sigler has medical training, that he is a doctor, and that my case has no basis, and requesting that the state not proceed with the case.
Evidently, Mr. Sigler’s attempt to silence the truth did not work, as the state proceeded with issuing a summons to me so I may testify.

Over the past few weeks, I have also been in contact with several people, who have offered to testify as witnesses in the case. I will not be providing information as to who these people are, but I will say that the information I have discovered from these people, is equally, if not, more disturbing than the information I have provided in my experience.

All of this information will be made public shortly. In the meantime, I invite you to contact me at harmfuldrugs@gmail.com, if you have any information that you would like to contribute to the case. I will keep you identity anonymous if you wish not to be identified.

I also invite anyone with doubts about this case to continue to follow this blog, as I will publish more evidence shortly. I will also be publishing the court date, should anyone be interested in attending to witness the outcome for themselves.

Thank you

Concerns Regarding Michael O. Sigler, Live Well Pharmaceuticals, and Age Management Panama - Update: 2014-01-22

In the recent weeks, it has come to my attention that Mr. Sigler has started an advertising/spam campaign on Youtube, and has also published his own blog.

Through the Youtube spam campaign, Sigler has managed to post 96 videos, under 4 separate usernames. Below are the usernames used to post Mr. Sigler’s spam, along with the corresponding link to the Youtube channel page:

Username: actioninpanama
Videos: 30

Username: Christopher Wachter
Videos: 10

Username: David Santiago
Videos: 42

Username: Gail Blizzard
Videos: 14

I initially thought that these videos were genuinely posted by clients, or business partners on Mr. Sigler. However, after a quick comparison of the videos, it was clear to me that the videos had been duplicated across the 4 separate accounts:

In addition to the duplicate videos, I discovered that many of the videos had comments, from the original poster, which had also been duplicated across all 4 accounts:

There was even a comment from Mr. Sigler, commenting about himself in third-person:

However, this final piece of evidence I found, really put the icing on the cake. The 3 individuals (Christopher Wachter, David Santiago, and Gail Blizzard), appear to be impersonations of actual people. Below is what I found:

Christopher Wachter:

Real Name: Christopher Ride
Austrailian science fiction, and thriller writer/author:

David Santiago:

Real Name: David Santiago
Florida State House Representative

Gail Bilzzard:

Real Name: Abigail Garthwait
University of Maine

Please be cautious if you come across some of these ads, as they are not what they appear. This campaign by Mr. Sigler appears to be aimed at countering the negative publicity about him and his businesses that is currently out there. I guess the logic behind this campaign is to flood the internet with positive content, in hopes that it will drown out this blog, and other sites that are reporting the truth.

I will continue to post updates as new information becomes available.

Hello everyone,

This post originally contained my response to some remarks that were made by Mr. Sigler's spouse about my fiance, and I. I have received an apology for the remarks that were made, and so I have removed my response to those remarks, from this post, at the request of Mr. Sigler's spouse.

The following is an edited version of my original post:

For those of you who are not familiar with the back story to this dispute, you can read all about it via the following link: http://harmfuldrugs.blogspot.com/2013/10/concerns-regarding-michael-o-sigler.html

Concerns Regarding Visa Inc., Banco General, and Illegal Transactions Conducted by Live Well Pharmaceuticals Inc., and Age Management Panama

In this post I would like to focus on the part of my experience that relates to Visa Inc. I recently posted a video on YouTube, where I expressed my frustration with Visa Inc., and my concerns regarding their involvement in the facilitation of the illegal drug industry worldwide. Below is that video:

In summary, I purchased various drugs, using my Visa credit card, from a compounding pharmacy in Panama. The drugs were prescribed to me by the executive director of this pharmaceutical company, Mr. Michael Orlin Sigler, who I later learned does not have a license to practice medicine in Panama. In addition, the prescription he provided to me was stamped and signed by a doctor, who was not present during my entire visit to the pharmacy. Also, at least one of the drugs sold to me (GW501516) is a black market, toxic substance, and is banned for human consumption.

At the time of purchasing the drugs, seeing that I could pay by Visa gave me peace of mind that I would receive certain protections against fraud and illegal transactions. As I understand, businesses are thoroughly vetted, and must meet the requirements of Visa’s Operating Regulations, before being grated the ability to use Visa as a method of charging clients, and maintain compliance with these regulations as it relates to Visa transactions.

After receiving confirmation that Mr. Sigler was not licensed to practice medicine, that he provided me a prescription though fraudulent means, and that at least one of the drugs he sold me is a black market substance, I notified my bank, CrediCorp Bank, who filed a claim on my behalf. The claim was denied by the merchant's bank, Banco General, based on the sole fact that I signed the credit card voucher. Banco General completely ignored all of the facts regarding the illegal transaction. When I questioned my bank about the resolution, I was told that the decision came directly from Visa’s corporate office.

I then brought the claim to Visa’s board of directors, who initially agreed to look at the claim. Very shortly after bringing the claim to their attention, I was told that the decision to deny my claim came directly from my bank, CrediCorp Bank, that the decision was final, and that they, Visa’s board of directors, would no longer participate in a dialogue with me about the matter.

Visa’s international operating regulations clearly state that “A member must comply with applicable laws or regulations", that "a transaction must be legal in both the Cardholder's jurisdiction and the Merchant Outlet's jurisdiction”; and that "in the event of any conflict between the Visa International Operating Regulations and any applicable laws or regulations, the requirements of the laws or regulations govern". The regulations also state that "an Acquirer must not knowingly accept from a Merchant for submission into the Visa payment system, any transaction that is illegal or that the Merchant should have known was illegal”; and that “the Merchant is responsible for its employees' actions”. Below are several images of taken directly from the Visa International Operating Regulations Manual. To see the manual in it's entirety, click the following link: http://usa.visa.com/download/merchants/visa-international-operating-regulations-main.pdf

Despite having presented all of the information regarding my case to my bank, the merchants bank, and Visa Inc., which clearly showed that the transaction that took place between me and Live Well Pharmaceuticals, was facilitated illegally and fraudulently, on various levels, my concerns have fallen upon deaf ears.

The main purpose of this post it to make people aware that the Visa charge/payment system is granted to almost any business who applies for it. Also, that having the ability to charge using Visa, does not necessarily mean that the business is always conducting their transactions lawfully, and certainly does mean that Visa Inc.'s regulations will be enforced in the event that an illegal transaction done by the business is reported by a third party.

It is also important to note, that the bank who issued the Visa point of sale account to Live Well Pharmaceuticals, Banco General, has yet to responded to any of my several attempts to report the illegal transaction to their fraud department, fraud@bcgeneral.com. To date, Banco General has continued to allow Live Well Pharmaceuticals Inc. to charge their clients by credit card.

Concerns Regarding Michael O. Sigler, Live Well Pharmaceuticals, and Age Management Panama - Update: 2013-11-20

In my previous post I discussed the resolution of the restraining order, which was requested against me by Mr. Sigler. In summary, the court issued a restraining order against me, as well as Mr. Sigler.

The following is an update to my previous post:
------------------------------------------------

Below is a copy of the criminal complaint that was recently filed against Mr. Sigler.

Summary of page 1:

I. REPORTED CRIME:

We believe that the facts underlying our complaint form the type of offence referred to in the following standard:

"Article 381. Whoever exercises a profession, for which a special license or authorization is required, without having obtained it, shall be punished by imprisonment from two to five years."

II. FACTUAL BASIS FOR OUR COMPLAINT:
The alleged facts and circumstances are what we present below:

FIRST: That Mr. DAVID VENABLES, who suffers from diabetes and heart disease, consulted Mr. MICHAEL ORLIN SIGLER, who introduced himself as Doctor of Medicine (MD, abbreviation in English to identify a "Doctor of Medicine" or Doctor en Medicina).

Summary of page 2:

SECOND: That Mr. MICHAEL ORLIN SIGLER, gave to Mr. DAVID VENABLES a business card, in which he presents himself as Michael O. Sigler MD, Executive Director of the company LIVE WELL PHARMACEUTICALS or LIVE WELL PHARMACEUTICALS INC.

On said business card it highlights the fact that Mr. Michael O. Sigler MD, uses the acronyms in English, which mean "Doctor of Medicine" (Doctor en Medicina). Also, on the business card, Mr. Michael O. Sigler is advertised as the Executive Director (Director Ejecutivo) of a company, which according to the Notification of Operation, is dedicated to the "acquisition of/for Wholesale, Retail of/for pharmaceutical products and drug dispensing, and import, storage and sale of material, storage and sale of raw materials for manufacturing of drugs and manufacturing, packaging, labeling and of medicines for an assortment of recipes or custom requirements for hormone replacement therapeutic Pharmaceutical Products, such as injectables, biotechnology, Radioformacos and Parenteral Nutrition ".

This type of company is regulated by Act No. 1 of 2001. Medicines and other Health Products for Human Health and it establishes the mandate that this type of company comply with pharmaceutical licenses, which assume the technical direction of the regency of the company, being legally and morally responsible for the following operations.

In any case, the law points out, the pharmacist's responsibility does not exempt owner of the pharmaceutical establishment of responsibility (see items 87, 88 and 89 of Ia Act No. 1 of 2001, regulated Executive Decree 178 of July 12, 2001).

THIRD: Mr. DAVID VENABLES solicited a medical consultation from Mr. Michael O. Sigler MD, understanding that he was Medical Doctor, based this on the business card of Mr. Michael O. Sigler MD, and a series of emails and communications between them.

FOURTH: Through emails. Mr. Michael O. Sigler MD. absolved medical consultations that he made to Mr. DAVID VENABLES, and also prescribed a number of medications, without the required license for the practice of the medical profession in Panama.

Summary of page 3:

FIFTH: The Cabinet Decrees 196 of 1970, establishes that the exercise of medicine, and related professions, requires that a license is issued for such purposes, being that Mr. Michael O. Sigler, has no such license, as certified by the Surgeon General and Secretary of the Technical Health Council on the  document dated October 14, 2013. Nevertheless, Mr. Michael O. Sigler through his business card and communications presents himself as an "MD", acronyms that mean “Doctor of Medicine"(English) or Doctor en Medicina in Spanish.

SIXTH: On the basis of the above, and the documentation relating to acts performed by Mr. Michael O. Sigler, we arrive at the factual assumption of the criminal law we have cited as the basis of our complaint, which warrants an investigation, and the determination of the person affected by the Crime.

III. REQUEST
We respectfully request the undertaking of any steps needed for the confirmation of the alleged offense and determination of the responsible. We request that Mr. Michael O. Sigler, whose general information is unknown, and can be located in Bella Vista, Calle 42, Local 336, Ground Floor, District of Panama, Panama Province, be cited at this location to render the declaration.

IV. REQUEST
For the reasons given above, we respectfully request that the Prosecutor initiate, immediately, the investigation to gather evidence, to verify the existence of the alleged offense, and find the author or participates of the offense, to clarify truth about the facts of alleged offense.

Concerns Regarding Michael O. Sigler, Live Well Pharmaceuticals, and Age Management Panama - Update: 2013-11-19

In my previous post I discussed a citation I received from the Panamanian National Police, which I later learned was a request by Mr. Sigler for a retraining order against me. I also posted an image of the document submitted by Mr. Sigler, where he outlines the basis for his request.

In summary, there were false accusations in the document Mr. Sigler submitted. Also, the claim to having received threats from me is, I feel, unsound, as I have made it clear to Mr. Sigler in the past that any pressure I have, and will continue to put onto him, has been, and will continue to be through civil means.

The following is an update to my previous post:
------------------------------------------------

Yesterday, the court issued their resolution regarding Mr. Sigler's request for a restraining order against me. The decision was made to grant Mr. Sigler the restraining order, in addition to to granting me a restraining order against Mr. Sigler (copy of my protection notice below). The resolution is confusing to me as I have never requested a restraining order against Mr. Sigler. The terms of the order state that neither party can carry out a physical or verbal act of aggression towards the other. As I stated in my previous post, I have never threatened Mr. Sigler, so I do not understand why it is necessary to issue a restraining order against me to protect Mr. Sigler from something that I have not done, and have made clear I wouldn't do. I believe this entire idea of requesting a restraining order against me is an attempt by Mr. Sigler to come across as being a victim.

Also, I believe this resolution that was given is another example of how inefficient the Panamanian system is. Instead of making a decision, based on the facts, they issue a resolution, based on lies and half truths, in an attempt to try to please both parties, and wipe their hands clean of the responsibility of doing a proper and thorough job.

As I mentioned in my previous post, Mr. Sigler claims that on October 15, 2013, I arrived at a local restaurant, while he was having lunch with his family, and began handing out flyers in the restaurant, as well as in the streets. As I've stated before, this claim is untrue. To elaborate my side of the story, I was nowhere near the restaurant that Mr. Sigler claims I was at, and I have witnesses to confirm this.

Nonetheless, Mr. Sigler was not able to prove his false claim in court. I will pursue this attempt at obtaining a restraining order via false claims, and I can only imagine how Mr. Sigler will attempt to argue the sincerity of this claim.

In any event, the criminal case has been filed, and Mr. Sigler will eventually have to answer for his actions in court. It will be interesting to see how Mr. Sigler will attempt to contest the charges that will be brought against him.
